At Lydia’s Place, our programs are designed to empower young adults as they transition from foster care or homelessness to independent living. Each of our initiatives focuses on providing the essential resources, support, and community that these young people need to build a stable and fulfilling future. From housing and mentorship to basic necessities and life skills, our programs are here to make a lasting impact.
“Elevate” is a transitional residential program focused on providing safe, stable housing while offering intensive case management, independent skills training, and necessary resources for our participants as they pursue education and employment. We designed “Elevate” to be a long-term solution to a chronic problem - the shocking lack of help available to youth aging out of foster care or experiencing housing insecurity.
The Provisions of Hope program offers support to at-risk students through Lydia’s Place Boutique and the Provisions of Hope Baskets. The LP Boutique is designed to address immediate needs for such basics as clothing, toiletries, home goods and school supplies, bringing dignity to our aging-out foster youth as well as the larger foster care community in our area. Provision of Hope Baskets are filled with essential dorm supplies and delivered to college students in need all over Georgia.
The Step Down Program supports students who have successfully completed our Elevate Program and are ready to embrace full independence. In partnership with a local property management company, we provide housing at a discounted rate for the first year as students learn to manage their own finances and live independently. This program is designed to ease the transition, offering a safety net while they take their first steps toward self-sufficiency.
